Job Summary

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree required
  • 10 years of professional level research and operational experience in an academic, corporate or other major institutional setting which includes industrial and facilities management, business development and marketing experience.
Preferred Qualifications

Ph.D. desired

Additional Information

The Director of Operations and Business Development, Center for Biotechnology and Interdisciplinary Studies (CBIS), reports to the CBIS Director and has primary responsibility for the operation, business development, marketing and public relations activities of CBIS. The position provides essential administrative support to the large set of personnel and institutional interactions required to develop collaborative projects with industry, develops new proposals in key strategic areas to leverage and showcase center resources, and serves as a focal point and resource to ensure that CBIS infrastructure is maintained and allocated in the best interests of the scientific programs at CBIS. The Director of Operations and Business Development enhances the visibility of research capabilities and activities, strengthens relationships with government, industry, alumni, and other public sector communities, and establishes partnerships with all other important constituencies.
