Job Summary

The Event Technician I will provide camera shading and/or production support to the EMPAC production teams for set-up, load in, execution and strike activities in the EMPAC building. http://rpijobs.rpi.edu/postings/5454

Minimum Qualifications

- HS Diploma or GED or 4 additional years of directly related experience.
- 3 or more years of applicable experience required.
- Relevant combination of education, training and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

- Associates degree in relevant field
- 3 additional years of related experience

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Requires good problem solving skills involving multiple variables in standard situations
- Requires excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
- Ability and knowledge of field specific operational functions
- Strong attention to detail

Other Position Requirements

Works in a stressful environment with multiple demands. Exposed to dust, machine noise, electrical and mechanical hazards, and various weather conditions. Physical effort consists of lifting, pulling or pushing weights up to 70 pounds, some work is performed in difficult positions, coordination and manual dexterity required along with visual, aural and mental attention.
