Job Summary

The incumbent provides direct clinical services to students; provides leadership & managerial oversight of the clinical functions of the Student Health Center; and assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

• An MD or DO Degree from an accredited institution
• License to practice in New York State
• Board Certification or Eligibility in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Pediatrics or Emergency Medicine
• Five (5) or more years of progressively responsible experience in the practice of medicine
• Eligibility for assignment under the credentialing process outlined in the student Health Service By-laws
• Training and experience in dealing with a wide variety of primary care medical conditions and illnesses.

Other Position Requirements

Work performed on normal office and clinic environments. Work is subject to exposure to blood borne pathogens, latex, dust, fumes, odors, mists, and gasses, biological, mechanical, electrical, chemical and other hazardous materials. Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, climb, reach, bend, push/pull, kneel, stoop, crouch, lift, balance and perform repetitive movements. The work is fast paced and demanding. May be subject to irregular hours including infrequent nights and weekends.

Additional Information

The Associate Director reports to the Executive Director and provides direct clinical services to students. The Associate Director assists the executive director in providing leadership and managerial oversight of the clinical functions of the Student Health Center and will assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
