Job Summary

The incumbent independently handles office tasks. He or she maintains schedules and calendars; prepares for meetings; makes travel arrangements; assists in reviewing business documents; monitors and reports on funds, accounts, and unit budget data.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associates Degree or 2 additional years directly related work experience
• 3 or more years of directly related experience

Preferred Qualifications
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and other specialized software and applications
• Ability to perform advanced transactional financial functions
• Ability to compose correspondence and reports
• Excellent planning, coordination, organizational and effective time management skills
• Ability to solve problems involving multiple variables and solutions in standard and unique situations
• Requires excellent interpersonal, diplomatic, communication and organizational skills
• Strong ability and knowledge of field specific operational/administrative functions
• Excellent attention to detail

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to work with modern web applications such as wikis, blogs, flickr, and facebook
• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions

Additional Information

The Administrative Coordinator provides administrative, operational and financial support for the Scientific Computation Research Center (SCOREC) and the Center for and Modeling, Simulation and Imaging in Medicine (CeMSIM). The Administrative Coordinator serves as a point of contact for SCOREC and CeMSIM with internal and external and performs administrative duties independently including, but not limited to, maintaining schedules, calendars, preparing for meetings and making travel arrangements. The incumbent will assist in reviewing business documents and monitoring and reporting accounts and unit budget data as directed by Center leadership.
